I have two steps below which you can use to stop MTN from deducting your airtime unesserily, both methods have same outputs. So take your time and checkout the steps below.
» Dial *123*5*1# and Reply with 1 to view a list of active subscriptions
» Now, reply with the serial number of any active subscription and follow the instruction that is displayed to unsubscribe.
» Dial *447# to bring out a pop-up menu from where you can manage all your Value-added services; you can activate and deactivate any active service from the menu.
» Next. Reply with 1 to see list of active services on your sim after which you can proceed to deactivate them from the available options.
How To Stop MTN From Deducting Your Airtime using MYMTN app
- Download MyMTN app, install and launch
- If you have the have before skip to the next step, but if not register with your phone number and an OTP will be sent to your line. After registering successfully go to the next step. If this is your first time using the app, you will be given free 500MB. Isn’t that cool?
- On you dashboard locate three dashes like the one in the image below and tap it.
- Scroll down and locate “my subscriptions”. After successfully taping it, it should show you the list of subscribed services on your SIM . That’s all.
